Day 7b: One Hit Wonder

This clip was made using the Screen casterfy tool.  It was made using what I call the 'One hit wonder' approach. That is, it is what it is without editing or tweeking. I see this tool could be a useful for both learning & teaching. It allows both audio and visual presentation.
But for me to use it as a professional teaching tool I still need to learn many things. Particularly how to edit and  crop all those open tabs, record using present mode on the slide deck and be relaxed in front of a camera.

  1. Kia ora again Tania,
thanks for your reflection on this tool too and I do hope you continue to practice with it. It sounds as though you have some key next steps which is lovely. It's not possible to edit or crop those tabs out - better to just open a new window so you can have minimal tabs open and to hit present mode so that it fills the screen, depending on what you do. I love your one hit wonder approach - done is better than perfect. Done allows you to make small tweaks in your own learning and presentation skills each time so that you make incremental progress which adds up to big things in the long run. Our presentation and teaching in the classroom is always and exercise in continual refinement as well, so keeping this in mind as we present onscreen as well helps to keep it in perspective. You'll be surprised at how fast things improve, with regular practice. Having rewindable learning available for your students is so empowering for them. I look forward to working with you more on this, it's worth investing in.
Thanks again for your critical reflections,
    Amie
